About Clint

I started taking pictures as a young boy, introduced to the past time by my Dad who is also a Professional Photographer.

In 1987 as a teenager I was given my first break by the Oxford Journal as a Trainee Photojournalist. The Journal sent me to Journalism College in Sheffield where I graduated with distinction and was awarded with the National Council Training Journalist degree in 1990.

After a year of travelling I joined The News in Portsmouth as a Senior Photographer.

In 1994 I moved to the Cotswolds and joined the Western Daily Press as a District Photographer covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. I've recently calculated that, based on 4 jobs a day for 23 years, I have, so far, covered nearly 22,000 assignments! Some of them were very interesting, I got to photograph almost all of the Royal family and also had a stint in the former Yugoslavia covering the civil war.

The newspaper industry is struggling at the moment and no one really knows how it will end up, but I will always be grateful to have spent such a large part of my life doing one of the most interesting jobs imaginable.

On a personal note I live in Nailsworth near Stroud, Gloucestershire with my wife Claire and our 3 children, when I'm not working I love to spend time tinkering with old English motorbikes.
